We have it. We have an OA relay team for the Furnace Creek 508. The guilty will be:
-me (here)
-Tom Bower (Ojai, CA)
-Ron Flagg (MD)
-Justin Lucke (SF, CA)
Now we need the crew. Email me if you're interested in crewing for the 508. It'll be a days worth of desert-time and peeling lots of bananas.
I'm willing to do this event, because I'd like to raise awareness for global climate change. Possible slogan: "We're heating up to cool it down."
This is what I was willing to do today: 15 minutes in the gym plus ~30minute of running at an easy pace. And it was hot. Not furnace hot, but hot.
