The Shark Tank

Before the start of the Empire Open Cross Country Race on Saturday, fellow Empire Runner John Staroba said, "Welcome to the shark tank." No kidding. This is the first X-C race I've ever run, and I got hammered. I was getting used to finishing in the top 5-10% in the running races I entered. Saturday, I was closer to the bottom 10%. With 61 starters in the men's open, I finished 51st. And I ran the fastest per mile pace I'd ever run in a race at 6:33min/mile!
The results.
The results.

Wow Bradley, a 6:33 mile, is GREAT, congrat's on that. I just got my mile down to 7 minutes but I can't run, because of my hip and back, I just walk…but I just wanted to say way to go, I hope you feel great about your personal success!

Thanks Heather! I hope your hip and back get better!
Well I had bone cancer Bradley, and was paralyzed for several years..now I have tns of daily pain, but I can walk a 7 minute mile…so I am thinking I can't ask for more!
thanks for the warm wishes. You keep pushing, I can live through your running, knowing you can makes me feel inspired to go farther and push harder.
